DIY Rhinestone Shoes

So I got this crazy idea of making some awesome shoes that shine oh so prettily...So far I have only finished one shoe and took me many hours of hard work, dedication and patience.. I used regular rhinestones because using Swarovski Crystals would have ended up being too expensive and completely defeat the purpose of having some sparkly shoes at a great price. I spend about $30-$40 on all my rhinestones and supplies. I used three different sizes: 3mm, 4mm, and 5mm mixed with a light pink, rose pink, and fuchsia, all flatback no hotfix rhinestones, and E6000 permanent glue and some tweezers to pick up the rhinestones..

I decided to use some cute wedges because I'm not much of a heel type but these shoes are super comfortable...

Next, I mixed all my rhinestones together in a bowl... then I poured some on a foamy sheet thingy to pick them up more easily...

Now the fun part!!... GLUE THEM ON!!
I outlined the top first using the 3mm rhinestones. Next, for filling the inside I glued them randomly with no specific pattern with all mixed sizes. I tried to glue each as close as possible to avoid having any big gaps between the rhinestones. While the glue was still fresh I just moved them around until I found the right place for them to set.

Make sure to glue in small sections, otherwise the glue will dry quickly and leave you with a bulky dry patch.

And finally after many dreadful, excited, and tiresome hours of work.....

Let them dry for some hours and then wipe the excess glue with some rubbing alcohol if any got on top while gluing.. The shine is outstanding for them to be regular rhinestones, especially in the sun. I can't wait to finish the second shoe and wear them out!! ^_^  ....

So what do you guys think??
